G-Union to Host Cyber Security Awareness Webinar in Thailand – October 24, 2026

The Ghanaian Union in Thailand (G-Union) is set to organize a Cyber Security Awareness Webinar on Saturday, October 24, 2026, aimed at equipping Ghanaians, foreign professionals, educators, and the wider community with essential knowledge to protect their personal information and remain safe online.

The virtual event, scheduled for 7:00 PM – 8:00 PM Thailand Time (ICT) and 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM US Eastern Time (EDT), will take place via Google Meet. Featuring Mr. Frank Addo, a CISM-certified cybersecurity professional, as guest speaker, the webinar will address the growing importance of digital security, online privacy, and responsible internet use. The initiative reflects G-Union's commitment to community education and digital empowerment as cyber threats, including phishing, identity theft, online scams, and unauthorized access to personal information, continue to present significant risks to individuals and organizations.

The webinar comes at a time when cybersecurity awareness and online fraud prevention have become important public safety priorities in Thailand. In June 2026, the Royal Thai Government reaffirmed its commitment to combating cybercrime and transnational scam networks through coordinated law enforcement, financial monitoring, and public awareness initiatives. Thailand's National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA), through ThaiCERT, also provides services that help the public identify suspicious messages, fraudulent websites, and potential online threats.

International cybersecurity guidance from the U.S. Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) further emphasizes the importance of multifactor authentication, account protection, and user education in reducing cyber risks.

These developments highlight the relevance of G-Union's upcoming webinar, particularly for expatriates, teachers, families, and professionals who depend on digital platforms for communication, banking, employment, and everyday transactions.

As digital technology continues to transform personal and professional life, the Ghanaian Union in Thailand is encouraging community members and the general public to participate in this timely cybersecurity awareness initiative. With Mr. Frank Addo serving as guest speaker, the session aims to strengthen participants' understanding of digital threats and promote practical habits for protecting sensitive information. Interested participants can join the live webinar through the QR code displayed on the official event poster or visit www.gat-th.com for organizational information.

Additional inquiries can be directed to [email protected] or +66 80 048 8181. Through this initiative, G-Union reinforces its commitment to education, community welfare, and responsible technology use, delivering a message that remains essential in today's connected world: Stay informed. Stay safe. Stay secure online.
